Salina and I picked Paddington House of Pancakes at City Square Mall for lunch to replenish our brain juices after our last paper. Even though there were not many people as we patronised on a weekday, be prepared to wait for your pancakes as they are freshly flipped from the griddle and served straight to your plate! I love how we were able to see the chef flipping our pancakes. Nothing beats knowing the food served to you are made fresh on the spot.
If you order the Classic Buckleberry like me, you can look forward to having blueberry pancakes (changed mine to pancakes with banana slices) served with scrambled eggs, mushrooms wrapped in turkey bacon and also a generous portion of maple syrup. A clever combination of sweet and savoury, need I elaborate further? The pancakes were airy and fluffy as well. However, I wish they would be more generous with the bacon and mushrooms.
Since Salina was dying for something sweet, so she settled for the Choco Fondue which consisted of dollar pancakes with bananas, strawberries, marshmallows, nuts, cinnamon and ice cream served with a pot of chocolate fondue. You would definitely not go wrong with anything dipped in chocolate fondue!
We found ourselves in some very interesting shops after the meal.
If you ever need a reason to eat pancakes, well, (Salina would agree with me) any day is pancakes day! Do yourself a favor and get yourself some pancakes today.
