The Land of a Thousand Smiles - 7D6N Bangkok

I am sure most of you are familiar with Bangkok but it's our first time so here goes:

Accommodation

The Airbnb apartment that we were putting up at was gorgeous and has a view to boot! It overlooked the canal and we could see boats weaving their way through the waters.

Transport

5 min walk to the nearest BTS from our apartment

The transportation in Bangkok is convenient and easy to figure out, even though we wished they have more machines that accept notes and able to choose the quantity of tickets needed.

Siam Paragon

Premium seafood set (799฿) at Sansab Restaurant

Be sure to visit the basement of Siam Paragon where the Gourmet Market is! We love doing grocery shopping here.

My favorite snack in Bangkok!!

Siam Centre

Greyhound Cafe has such an extensive menu that we took a pretty long time to decide what to eat. Eventually we settled for the local food. Yums!

I thought the crepe cake at Petite Audrey would be too gelat to stomach but they were not!

Siam Square

Our first dinner in Bangkok was at Somtam, which is near Siam Square. They also have another outlet at Siam Centre. The pork slices were tender and delicious!

When one is in Bangkok, you have to try desserts from the Mango Tango!

We also popped by the Siam Night Market which was so bustling! There was so many things to see but I was so picky I didn't get anything. :p

The Commons

It was a long walk to The Commons but well worth it. On hindsight, we should have taken Uber instead and saved all the time and energy.

The basement of The Commons was full of restaurants that sells food that looks so delicious. Kind of reminds us of Pasarbella.

Time for some food to replenish our energy, featuring lobster roll ...

... and smoked ribs that was smoked for 6 hours, according to the restaurant. They were very soft and the meat came off very easily.

If you ever visit The Commons, be sure to drop by Maygori which serves delicious shaved ice!

Caturday Cafe

We wanted to visit Purr Cat Cafe right after The Commons. Unfortunately, we realised the cafe had closed down just a few days ago, which is how we arrived at Caturday Cafe.

We got an empty box to lure cats to us. And soon enough, this one fell right into our trap.

This sleepy one decides to sleep on my cushion.

We were surprised that there is no entrance fee and time limit at Caturday Cafe. The only requirement was to only order some food and drinks. We could spend the whole day here!

Platinum Mall

Sadly I did not managed to get anything from here. Glenn got a top from here though. Like ONE. Best thing about Platinum Mall for us? SabX2 Wanton Mee is nearby!

I especially love the pork lard that added a crunch. All the ingredients came together very well. The wanton tasted sweet and the freshness of the crab meat gave the wanton mee an interesting taste. We are fans of this wanton mee already.

Don't forget to try their braised pork trotters rice!

True Love Cafe

We walked a fair bit to get to the cafe because we were too cheapskate to get a cab, but decided to Uber our way out which was a good choice! Our Uber driver provided free WIFI and bottled water woohoo!

Trying to get a photo with the huskies in the background, but humans ...

Cute doge alert!

This husky was trying to cross but my fat ass blocked its path I happened to be sitting there, so it had so choice but to make friends with me.

Yay our new friend!

The entrance fee (350฿) to visit the husky cafe comes with a cake and a drink. Glenn made the right choice of ordering ice cream cake as it keeps you cool from the heat and tastes yummy too! Although we were only limited to an hour, it was fun to be around the dogs!

Emquartier

We dropped by Emquartier to get our hands on some cheesetart from Bake before making our way to Artbox night market!

Artbox Bangkok

We love the atomsphere!

Instagram worthy soda! Tastes as nice as it looks.

Since there were many people having this seafood set for dinner, we had to try! The seafood was fresh and served piping hot. We thought it was not bad for 800฿.
Chatuchak Weekend Market

Hi my favorite snack again hehehe

We love this weekend market for obvious reason; we bought most of our stuff here! We were blessed with cloudy weather when we were there but it was still humid nonetheless. Our tips to survive Chatuchak? Bring a paper fan and drink lots of coconut water! Most importantly, get lost and explore the market!

Union Mall

Make Union Mall your next stop after Chatuchak market! Even though the price and variety of the clothing did not appeal as much to us after visiting Chatuchak, Glenn managed to buy a shirt from there.

We decided to rest our feet at Holly's Coffee and shared a mango shaved ice. It came with generous portions of mango and at half the price of the usual bingsu we have here in SG! :O

Rod Fai Night Market Ratchada

Right at the entrance of the night market, 7 Sea Chill & Grill served BBQ seafood. We chose the 899฿ set that was meant for 5 to 6 persons. But as you can tell from the pictures, the amount of food was just nice for the both of us. We love the different sauces that they provided too!

//

The secret garden we discovered within the condo which saved us precious walking minutes!

For this trip, we did not exactly have an itinerary. Glenn simply put in the locations of the places on Google Maps and then we decide which area to explore when we wake up. Totally chill!

There were a few places and food we did not managed to visit cos there is only so much we could stomach each day, Well, that gives us another reason to return to Bangkok to try out those that we missed! Haha. The people whom we have met in Bangkok were all very friendly and kind, and they have made us feel very welcomed.

  2. When considering a new dog food, there are several items that should be on the list. Your dog's food should be free of overly processed meats, high levels of plant protein, cheap vegetables, and cancer-causing preservatives. Unfortunately, a lot of the pet food industry is built around easy profits as a result of compromises in those four areas. In most cases, it isn't a moral issue, but it is good to consider the company that you purchase your pet food from and what their philosophy is on the products that they make available for purchase. 9. The 'Garden Capital of the World' is often how Cornwall is thought of throughout the world. Cornwall enjoys the power of the Gulf Stream with its temperate climate of warm summers, mild and wet winters which in turn allows exotic and rare plants to thrive. Where else can you find so many gardens with history dating back to the Iron Age? As long ago as the early 19th century Cornish gardeners were part of the Victorian plant hunters who collected exotic plants and seeds from all around the world. Tree service gilbert

  13. The most important decision you will make today is what food you will choose to put in your mouth. Your body needs foods that will promote health and well being. Eating nutritious foods is not only good for your body, it is also good for your mind. Millet Noodles

Nutrition being one of the primary aspects required for optimal health it is imperative that anyone, especially diabetics, understand what is meant by a whole foods based diet. 먹튀검증

  15. It is sometimes said that every garden should have an archway. However, whilst this may not be strictly true, it's certainly true that garden arches can have a part to play in many garden designs. Garden arches come in many shapes, sizes, designs and materials and so consequently they can also have many different uses within a garden. This article briefly discusses how garden arches can be used in a garden design and the considerations which should be given to them. Tree Removal Kelowna

  16. Fall can be a great time to grow a vegetable garden. We typically think of spring as the best planting season, but believe it or not fall can be an even better time of year to grow a garden. Even though summer is coming to an end, it's not too late to grow a fall garden. Fall gardens work best with a little advanced planning, but I can help you throw one together quickly.
